The Lítožnice natural monument is situated on the territory of the capital city of Prague between the municipalities Běchovice a Dubeč. In the eastern part, there is a forest stand consisting mainly of oaks, which intertwine with non-native trees such as spruce (Picea),[4] red oak (Quercus rubra)[5] and the remains of the cherry and pear orchard. In the rest of the territory, three ponds are dominant: Nový, Myslivecký and V Mýtě. The ponds are used for extensive fish farming and the first two named also for sport fishing. The Říčanský stream flows through the territory, which eventually becomes a left tributary Rokytky and the water is further diverted to the Elbe basin.
